What does Studio series mean? Are these similar toys in line with the old Generations and Universe line. Was hoping they were going to be like MP series

They're movie-based toys which in this case go with the War for Cybertron series. (Mainly because, as rumour has it, the 86 Studio Series toys are repurposed toys which WERE originally supposed to be part of Earthrise and Kingdom, thus why Galvatron and Cyclonus are there, rather than Studio Series 86.)

The Studio Series line are figures designed with use of the 3D models as reference, instead of concept drawings. So the figure tend to be more film accurate, and are scaled better.

I have been really impressed by the Hot Rod figure.

Really does live up to the 'mini masterpiece' term being used by other collectors on other forums. Basically, a whole lot of bot for the price point.

Pop Guardian has them for Pre-order;

Slug:
https://www.popguardian.co.nz/products/ ... s=e&_v=1.0

Wreck-Gar:
https://www.popguardian.co.nz/products/ ... s=e&_v=1.0

Gnaw:

I tend to find their pre-orders sell out rather quick though for anyone wanting to pick them up.
