Hasbro Christmas Toy Sale 2016?

Postby Windbreaker » Fri Dec 09, 2016 3:57 pm

Anyone know if Hasbro are doing/have already held their annual sale at their Albany warehouse this year?

I want to say that's disappointing, but it doesn't seem like stock or prices have been particularly great for the last few years.

I spoke with the school that partners with them. They haven't held it last year or this year. My wife has a theory though, apparently many of the mums and such moaned about the last sale not being as impressive. She reckons they are taking a "stuff ya then" approach.

Sales have been really great for Hasbro. Especially with their Star Wars sales and as such they do not need to move stock out of their warehouses. The demand is better than the last 5 years that they have sufficient Warehouse movement.

To put it simply - If you $1million in stocks sitting in the Warehouse, that's $1 million not doing anything. But what Hasbro is saying is that they are selling majority of their $1 million stock. Hence they do not need to have a sale as they are converting stocks into actual money.
