We're all good. Two broken toys, neither of them transformers. Found out work was closed, so any silver lining is a good one

Freaky stuff. Massive feels for those effected. Our country is so small that it's difficult not to know someone who is impacted.

NZ is still the best place on Earth though.

Gotta crack an egg to get to the good stuff eh, Spike?

Joking aside... Glad not to hear reports of too much devastation. Take care though everyone. Of yourselves and each other.

I slept through it, had no clue it had happened until I got to work and saw the boss who asked me to send messages to the branches.

Hope everyone ok .. might take a while before SH1 north of Christchurch re-opens

My biggest fear when it struck was the kitchen, the last big quake caused a full bottle of fish sauce to fall from the pantry and smash, the kutchen stunk!
Fortunately twas ok this time round......
We rocked and rolled here for a couple minutes

# of TF's: I don't have the patience to count them all
# of GIJoe: I've lost count

Fine here in Christchurch. Despite the shaking getting quite violent at one point, only a few things fell over, none of them breaking. The fallen Transformers were Generations Gears and Prime Hun-Grrr. Aside from the possibility of further shocks resulting in death and the poor people stranded in Kaikoura, my main fear right now is that we may not see the railway line to Picton reopen. Despite being part of the country's Main Trunk Raikway Line, there has been talk of ripping it up to widen the coastal highway, not that that's in any better condition at the moment.

Hope everyone is safe.
My brother said that the streets were packed and sirens sounding and police telling everyone to head for higher ground.
My brothers back is not that great and said his cars not working.
So he stayed in his flat.

I was out west at my parents and felt it out there on the deck, pretty scary though. Thoughts and prayers to those families affected by this

I live on the Maupuia hills above Miramar, and I genuinely thought the house was going to slip. Stay prepared everyone

Was a crazy shake, more a roller here though. Don't think we had one thing fall over. Tsunami was my main worry here, but we still here.
