TFNZ 2015 and onwards!

Postby jiptravolta » Sun Jan 18, 2015 2:31 pm

Gidday ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Transformers NZ in 2015!

I have graciously been accepted to take over the reigns from our Greatest Leader, SSNZ. So what does this mean for the forums? Not a hell of a lot really, as this community is pretty tightknit as it is. I do have a few proposed changes, but these are only going to be implemented if you guys want it!

#1 - Logo change/banner change
#2 - New updated forum (only if old posts can be kept)

New things that are happening:

#1 - New moderators! Let me know who is interested!
#2 - Alternate blog site to display the main sites status in case of digital gremlins during any updates
#3 - Last quarter of 2015 will see the proposed design of TFNZ's exclusive Transformer! Shipping would be expected by mid 2016

If you have any queries, feel free to reply here or via PM!

Long live TFNZ!

Oh these are interesting things Jip!

Would be keen for logo/ forum revamp.

And this TFNZ exclusive sounds rather intriguing.

Welcome Jip, congratulations on taking over the running of this place.

New moderators have been needed for ages so I really hope that this gets a priority. While the forums are running an old version of the code, they are still usable (and given enough help any unwanted visitors can be removed quickly) so I hope a new forum isn't just to make your mark.

Blog concept great (just started one myself) and I am keen to hear more about this Transformer.

Again, welcome (even though you have been 10+ years) :D

The forum upgrade idea was really just for cosmetic sake

Congrats JP.

One thing I would love to see is have the site be able to display nicely on mobile devices. More and more of the traffic websties receive is now from Mobile devices I am more than happy to help with this if expertise is needed as my day job is a Mobile/Software developer.

If mods are required then I'd be happy to do that as well.

Im keen to be a moderator im online a fair bit of the time so keeping a eye out for spam would be easy. On top of that ill continue to do the event stuff I do its more something I enjoy doing :D

jiptravolta this probably counts as preety epic haul :)

One thing I have wanted is spoiler tag like they have on serebii.net and cosplaynewzealands forums basicly everything inside spoiler dosnt show till clicked it would be very usefull for being able to select what you wish to view e.g toy fair if you didnt want to know anything about the new show you simply dont click the button and it will save on loading times on cell phs

Really excited about the TFNZ figure, and how I (and everyone else) may contribute to it! Definitely keen for concept art etc etc.

I assume SSNZ has passed on Hasbro contact details to Jip? Would be cool to keep getitng the updates (even if they are sad most of the time  )

I think at this stage SSNZ would like to keep getting the info from Hasbro :)
