So I believe I've posted about this comic before here, but holy crap this comic is stunning. The story is interesting as well and there are some fantastic character moments. Here's some dialogue-free screengrabs of some of the panels and covers from the Windblade series.

Yeah, I'm enjoying this series, artwork wise. The faces are all really expressive.

Just think, a mere ten years ago we were all treated to the wonderful art stylings of Pat Lee, haven't TF comics come a long way since then!

DULL SURPRISE

Personally I don't think it gets better than Don Figueroa's War Within stuff. Just my opinion.

The collected Windblade graphic novel was the first Transformers comic I have bought in twenty five years - the artwork, story and characterisations are all so fresh and strong. I was looking forward to a second volume later this year, but from what I have seen Sarah Stone isn't necessarily doing all the art for Windblade anymore, and I have to say, the other artist they are using just doesn't have the same strengths. Regardless of being intrigued by the story, right now I don't think I'll be buying anymore unless it's from her.

Beautiful stuff. If she doesn't necessarily do an entire series that I can buy in one hit as a collected volume, I may yet pick up just her individual issues. I like the story, but not enough to buy comics with art in them by other artists that just doesn't appeal. Stone's artwork is what I find the most attractive and I'd settle for having an incomplete story just to collect her stuff.

This art style's use in some of the most recent combiner wars issues didnt seem to fit for me, especially with Optimus Maximus and the battle in that issue. It just seemed to make the combiners look somewhat comical instead of showing off their menacing size and the fact that they're meant to be "monsters" and "atrocities".

Good art style that works with the vibrancy within the Windblade issues as they typically have a lot of colour but with showing off combiners, it just didnt seem to work.

Same thing happened with the Dark Cybertron event.
The timeline to get the content out is so demanding they use multiple artists and writers.

And the end result is almost always negative!

Understanable but just wouldve been nicer to match artists and tone better.

Also the dark cybertron even was the best arc ever!! All that development, all the favourites getting fleshed out so much. I really liked seeing more about soundwave, shockwave and the surprise
