That. Was. Terrible.

The main things I took away from TF4 were:

*Bud Light
*Victoria Secret
*Red Bull
*Good Year
*Shuhua Milk

"..you are a gentleman and a scholar."

Pros
Awesome CGI sequences
Lockdown was one badmofo

Cons
The plot was really weak and all over the place
Lots of dorky Michael Bay humour
Lots of dorky annoying characters (the boyfriend, the bald guy, the guy who got cooked)
Dinobots and Galvatron were under used
Movie was wwwaaayyyy too long
Some of the new robot designs look kinda cheesy with colours a bit too vibrant (mainly Crosshairs and Drift)
Shameless product placements
Optimus has rocket boots?

The sad part is, I was looking at the trivia section on IMDB and saw the list of directors considered to replace Bay...
Roland Emmerich, Joe Johnston, Jon Turteltaub, Stephen Sommers, Louis Leterrier and David Yates
Even if Bay steps away now and any one of these clowns get the director seat, there is still little hope for a truly great live action TF movie.

This pretty much sums it all. I got disappointed big time. Unreal, Dinobots - What was that 5 mins out of the 2hrs 45 mins?

The long Pan shots of Bay, the humour the kissing at the end - common! Do something new!

Its bad enough that Hound is re-formatted, Bay has an annoying habit of killing characters for cannon fodder.

kevman: Were you at the 7:45pm screening at St Lukes tonight? If you were, then we technically saw the movie together.

Hahaha - Na I went Westgate out West. I'm glad I went there as was thinking about St. Lukes. If I was at St. Lukes and saw you I would be cusssing and expressing my dissappointment.

I'm glad my wife sort of enjoyed it. So at least that was a good thing. :D

I'd just like to say that I am really disappointed in myself, for caving and seeing it.

I was planning to just torrent it in a few months time.

Oh, the other main thing I took away from this 'movie': "I'LL KILL YOU!!!"
"..you get more classy every time."
"..you are a gentleman and a scholar."

Each film further proves Vangelus + other people's theory about Movie Prime...

What's the theory? Vangelus seems to have quite liked the movie.

Just came back from my second screening of AOE. For me, it's even better watching this the second time around. Saw it on DBOX and it was awesome!

The motion seats made the experience even more enjoyable. Will try to watch it at IMAX before screenings are over.

I like Prime in this movie the best so far. He's bad ass. Still stands for everything good and all but now has zero tolerance for bullshit and gets the job done. My kinda Prime.

That Optimus Prime in the movie verse is completely blood thirsty and insane, and within the fourth film becomes some sort of crusading psychopath.

The methods in which he disposes of his enemies are less Atticus Finch and more Kratos from God of War...

Went to see it Saturday with my non-fan girlfriend, who enjoyed it so much she delayed going to the bathroom in case she missed anything. We had a fairly packed theatre for our nighttime 3D showing, and they were into it - laughs in the "right" places, loud cheers when Bumblebee showed up, and applause at the end.

My main points have been pretty well-covered but, in the interests of getting the grumbles off my chest first...
- Movie Prime is a total DICK now! I was stunned to hear him saying he'd kill a human, and then seeing it happen...I used to like him taking faces etc, but now he's BAD
- Ratchet's pursuit and death was awful to watch, I was almost in tears when Lockdown grabbed his spark.
- the bot designs are more "big robot" than "Transformer" now, to me at least, Lockdown being a great example and WTH was up with Drift having SUCH a human face?
- Drift was never called by name that I remember and, for all his character development, no sign or explanation of his Decepticon background as was touted before release
- likewise the Dinobots, no names or dialogue (unless it was Grimlock who, on the bridge, said "Go! We'll hold the line!" and I felt embarrassed to see them
- seriously, stop with the underdressed girls who seem to be cast for looks

But the good...I still really enjoyed it.
- much more likeable human leads. I was sceptical about Marky-Mark when announced but he was great, likewise Tucci and Grammer - Nicola Peltz was a definite acting skill improvement on the last two girls
- laying an intriguing foundation for a new trilogy with the Creators
- I loved Lockdown, a great character and great voicework by Mark Ryan although occasionally he still managed to sound like Jetfire
- Galvatron was great too - AWESOME to have Frank Welker back as a lead and his origin was interesting and fun
- Hound was a great character also, John Goodman was perfect for him
- Evasion Mode Prime was better than I expected and exciting to watch transform

There's more praise I could heap on it, but I'll sum up by saying that I think they've found the right balance (more bots tho...rather, less pointless human relationship-building).

Plus I won a massive prize pack on FB which includes a double pass...now I HAVE to go see it again!

I have been thinking about optimusprime.
2007 he see's bumblebee get attacked gives humanity the benefit of the doubt, he also seen jazz riped in half.

In rotf he ends up dieing then brought back to life.
Then on top of that im sure he would of heard how they treated his comrads.

Dark of the moon he lurns humans have been working with deceptecons.
His mentor betrays him then haveing to kill him, his arm being ripped off during the fight.
He then finaly gets to beat megatron.

Movie 4, hes been hunted by a humans he knows his freinds are been hunted.
He then see's his best friend killed then see's his face been melted down.

To be fair this is the first time humanity has betrayed him and in such a painfull way in anything ive seen.

I think optimusprimes actions are more resnable, he could of blasted the building before entering and he could of killed indascrimatly
