Sightings - Australia

Postby pinkshiro » Wed Dec 10, 2008 3:51 pm

While in Sydney I saw a bunch of TF

Namely:

Transformers Animated Ultra Magnus (approx $99 AUD)

Transformers Universe Classics:

Silverbolt (ranged from $59 - $69 AUD)
Superion & the other gestalt...(cant remember which it was)

25th Anniversary Optimus Prime (Both versions - one with DVD, one without DVD (saw this one for $79 AUD on special))

^^ The one with the DVD was in a specialty shop. The one without it was in department stores

However, during my trip I limited myself, and passed on things that were going to come to NZ eventually.

Considering the NZ dollar buys 82c ozzy i would think a leader would be $80-90 RRP
Its funny when NZ was at 78 USA we were all crying fowl at toy prices inc me .
Now that's its down to 53c  were doing reasonably well, especially with all the farmers sales. (pity i usually jump the gun due to laziness and missing out anxiety)

With our weak currency I think it is cheaper to buy in NZ :

I'm in the US at the moment. It's a bit cheaper to buy them here. Animated leaders are $42, universe ultra are $25, voyagers are $20. Have to add tax of 8.5% so I'm just doubling everything
Wanted:
Swoop missiles and launchers, Fangry, Horri-Bull, Apeface

Just a 2011 update from Melbourne while I am over here.
Have only checked out Big W and Target in the CBD so far.

Big W has three of the Battle in Space Rodimus vs Cyclonus packs for the amazing price of $25 (around $40NZ). They now have none. Also a heap of the newest RPMs under the new Speed Stars line - nothing excing though.

Target has a rather nice toy section - huge Lego displays.
Had a few Reveal the Shield Deluxes (Perceptor, Wreck Gar, G2 Prime and tons of Bumblebe) along with a couple of Darkmount and Cybertron Megatron. RtS Deluxes on special for $23AU and Generations at regular price of $28.
Some new Thor toys as well.

Haven't seen either and I dont think Sky Hammer is out in Australia yet. Haven't read any reports in the last months.

Legends Megatron - when I see, can do. On my to grab list

More sightings this afternoon.
Travelled to Greensbrough. Kmart had plenty of Generations Dirge, Darkmount, Red Alert and WFC Megatron. Also a single HFTD Rescue Ratchet and Axor.
Toyworld had a Masterpiece Skywarp for $100AU. Bit pricy with current exchange rate
Target was awesome - newly stocked cases of Deluxes with Jazz, Tracks, Wreck Gar, Perceptor etc as well as Voyagers Grappel, Strafe and Lugnut.

According to StarsNZ, we might get more Jazz and Tracks (they have been found in a Toyworld and all but Dunedin Kmart), as well as Legends (found in Dunedin Kmart). But other than that, blame unsold PCC and movie stuff.

Buyaball - can see what I can find. This city is HUGE!!

Trip to Bendigo today to visit a good friend

Stoped by Big W had a heap of Legends although no Megatron
Target had lots of Reveal the Shield Deluxes, including a Tracks. Also saw some Hunt for the Decepticons exclusives. Starscreams Assault (Mudflap and Starscream), The Fury of Bonecrusher (Recon Ironhide, Bonecrusher) at $35 each ($50NZ).
Myer had some very expensive Reveal the Shield Deluxes ($35AU)
Toyworld had an 07 Movie Prime, a bunch of Bludegons and wave mates for $25, a couple of Steamhammer PCC 5 Packs for $30 and some other old stuff that didn't interest me.
Safeway in the Bendigo Marketplace had the cheap Wave 2 PCCs
Didn't get out to Kmart -- too far away.

Then visited Myer in the city, more Deluxes and expensive Legends at $8AU ($11.50NZ) but again no Megatron.
