Aucklander Advice!

Postby Mr.Deflok » Fri Feb 17, 2017 8:42 am

Hi Aucklanders! I'm at AUT to give a presentation and while I am busy all day today I have a few hours tomorrow afternoon to kill.

I have no car but want to see some Wave 3 deluxes. Anyone know anywhere near AUT on Mayoral Drive that I may see this?

If anywhere, it is likely to be farmers queen street.

Isn't that the one that only has toys in the form of LEGO? Or was I in the wrong Farmers? Pretty sure it was the one that's showing up on Google though.

you're right, farmers queen street (in the old whitcoulls) is like the mini-farmers version and they only have lego toys (unless things have changed since i was last there a year ago). unfortunately, you may have to venture slightly out of the inner city. i got some from farmers st lukes (as advised elsewhare on this forum) but last i looked, there was only the one doublecross (aka twinferno) and that was 2 weeks ago. warehouse st lukes had nothing and i haven't been to farmers and warehouse newmarket for ages... woah, i just checked on toyco's website and they have restocked on all wave 3 deluxes! they're by st lukes mall, should be easily accessible by outerlink bus? otherwise, just uber it? found you some links below. hope this helps and good luck, dude.

My bad. I didn't know that, don't frequent the city. Though jump on the train at Britomart and go to Sylvia park. Was there yesterday and their toyworld had wave 3 deluxes in. Plus a few odds and ends as well. Sky Lynx has popped up again

Might be too late and a long shot anyhow but there's a Warehouse in Atrium on Elliot Street.
Had some Combiner Wars stuff last year when I last visited but no idea what they've got in stock at present.
It's a "cut down" Warehouse optimised for online pickup but they do have a small toys section.

Aside from Farmers, the only other place in Midtown that might sell TFs is Smith and Caughey, as above they do have a small toys section, but no idea what they've got in at present.

Thanks, Defensor!

I ended up going to Toyco and checking out Farmers at St Lukes and The Warehouse too. $35 for Rod from ToyCo was a bit much but my boy will be super happy so meh.

Farmers and The Warehouse had jack bar some RID stuff unfortunately. Looooots of Lego though.

Thanks for your help, guys!

Edit: Triggerhappy looks awesome and felt heavier too. But $35 is too much.

yes, i did notice that toyco weren't having a sale. it's just a bit of bad timing because they usually find an excuse for a 20% off storewide sale every other day and the owner raymond usually tries to price match other larger businesses when doing pre-orders. also, farmers st lukes is usually pretty good but warehouse st lukes is absolutely hopeless when it comes to transformers. anyway, hope u had a nice day. weather didn't turn out too bad either eh. we had some friends visiting from outta town and they were record collectors so we were doing the record store circuit. i did managed to pop into warehouse newmarket and they had wave 2 legends - rumble, ravage, an odd scourge but nothing from wave 3 so u didn't miss much there.
