kickstarter Action figures

Postby loismustdye » Mon Apr 21, 2014 11:25 pm

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/17 ... ng-figures

thought would post up if anybody was interested in it if they were into gi joe scale figs. Marauder gun runner is doing it, if you dont know who he is he makes 1:18 scale weapons etc.
Nice looking toys, but a bit pricey for my liking. And the fact that each one doesn't include all the accessories (IMHO) is a bit or a rip personally.

The discussion on Hisstank is quite amusing, some hardcore Joe fans "suggesting" that if all the current supporters upped their contribution level akk the stretch goals would be unlocked and they could get more gear for the figures they optioned.

I'll probably pick some up when they go up on his site after the dust has settled.

However, I'll be backing the upcoming kickstarter for the Vitruvian H.A.C.K.S line from Boss Fight Studios (they do Head sculpts for the Joe and Transformers Club figures, are Ex-Hasbro and were contracted my Marauder John for the figure sculpting of those Task Force figures in Loismustdye's post above me).

Those do look sweet, but I'd struggle to find a place for them in my collection. Depends on what backstory etc goes along with them.

Been missing the boat on heaps of these Kickstarted toy deals. Mostly on account of the prohibitive shipping fees.

Gothitropolis Ravens from the guys who do MotUC sculpts had some badass birdmen up for offer, but it came to seventy bucks a pop and I felt it simply wasn't worth it. It eventually went on to be funded.

There was another one from the guys who did Stikfas. Modibots: the same concept with slightly different execution. Again, I felt it was too pricey. Again, they got funding.

These Marauder things look... alright. I've seen people handle 1/18 far better (read: SIC Kiwa Tamashii and Acid Rain) but the accessories are neat. Articulation looks cack, simply can't understand what these bloody americans have against proper ankle rockers.
